New booking & scheduling system: Momoyoga!

As you may have read in the previous newsletter, we will transition from Mindbody to Momoyoga for the schedule and administration. This is a lot cheaper (which is nice for us), students will be able to pay online with iDeal (which is great for everybody), it will hopefully integrate seamlessly with our website (which Mindbody does not) and hopefully it will be easier to work with! Below you find how it works.

  • Do you currently have a class card or subscription? Or if you’ve had one in the past year, your account will be automatically imported into Momoyoga. You will receive an email to activate your account. After you’ve activated your account you can book classes!
  • If you don’t have a card or subscription, you can now pay online in Momoyoga with iDeal or with your credit card. If you don’t want that you can also choose the ‘contant’ option – then you can pay in the studio with pin or cash, or ‘bankoverschrijving’, then you can transfer the money yourself.
  • If you do not have a lesson card or subscription, or if you have not received an email by September 1, you can create an account yourself in Momoyoga. It’s not difficult: just go to this page and follow the instructions.
  • If you had booked via Minbody for classes after 1 September, you may have to re-book in Momoyoga. We hope to transfer the bookings correctly but it’s always good to check.

If you don’t succeed, email us! Or call: 06 1919 5182.

Workshops with international teachers

We are super happy to be able to offer workshops with international teachers again after 2 years of Covid-quiet. We do hope that many you will sign up, because after all we invite them for you!

Okay, to be honest, we do it for ourselves as well, because it’s great to be able to participate in classes with people we love to learn from… but we hope you will want to join in! Don’t think it’s too advanced or anything like that. It’s a great opportunity to learn and we have good reason to invite these teachers. Plus, it’s a great chance to go on a mini-retreat and spend time learning about yourself and how to challenge and recharge. Exactly what Iyengar yoga is all about. So if you are thinking about signing up, stop thinking and do it! If you have questions about the workhsops, let us know.

Garth McLean - 14, 15 & 16 October 2022

Yoga is not a miracle cure. People who practice yoga also get pain in their back or scary diseases, and eventually die, like all living things. But yoga practice can prepare you – both physically and mentally – as best as possible for what life has in store for you. BKS Iyengar said it beautifully: “Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured, and endure what cannot be cured”.

Someone who embodies that concept, and from whom we have learned a lot in many areas, is Garth McLean. He will be giving a workshop in October, and it is a real privilege to learn from him. The workshop is accessible for all levels. Students with neurological or movement challenges are especially invited – but anyone with physical challenges can benefit. And it’s even better if you start learning before you have physical challenges!
