The garden is growing and blooming, and now that the first heat wave has passed, we can conclude that the ceiling insulation also helps to keep out the worst of the heat. Nevertheless, it has been warm in the yoga school the past two weekends. But we are happy and proud that we could host the IYVN exams again this year. And with a good result: all candidates passed the practical exam this year.

We especially congratulate Eeke van der Wal, Anita Rode and Mieke Gooren who have been mentored by us in recent years. And also Anna for the Wind who participated in the In-depth course, as well as Yulia Khomich and Christel Bosman who were regular participants in the online classes have passed. Congratulations to them as well, and to all the other candidates!

Do you also want to deepen your yoga practice? The new dates for the In-depth course are online! You’re warmly invited.

We also have some nice workshops on the program in the coming months. First of all, Tally Eldor will join us again in August. And she will give a 3-day workshop from 25 to 27 August. See below for more information.

And finally, Garth McLean will return to Utrecht in September. Read more below, and don’t hesitate to sign up and keep doing yoga all summer long. We are open every day, but some quiet classes will be canceled during the high season. So always keep an eye at the schedule.

Summer workshop with Tally Eldor

Of course it’s great that Tally can still teach online from her new home in Eilat… But we do miss her actual lively presence here. If that’s also the case for you, here’s some great news! So…

→ Are you ready for a few days of Iyengar yoga, even if you feel like you’re too much a ‘beginner’ to try a workshop?
→ Are you looking to spend a few days to really go further in your practide and get ready for the new ‘school year’?
→ Need some time to look after yourself after vacation with the family?
→ Do you want to get serious about yoga, and at the same time feel light and joyful?

Garth McLean | 15, 16 & 17 Sept

Yoga is not a miracle cure. People who practice yoga also get pain in their back or scary diseases, and eventually die, like all living things. But yoga practice can prepare you – both physically and mentally – as best as possible for what life has in store for you.

BKS Iyengar said it beautifully: “Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured, and endure what cannot be cured”.

Someone who embodies that concept, and from whom we have learned a lot in many areas, is Garth McLean. He will be giving a workshop in October, and it is a real privilege to learn from him.

So. What are you waiting for? Read more and sign up here.

In-Depth Course

16 full days of yoga, spread out over 10 months, giving you the chance to set apart some time for yourself, to get more involved in yoga philosophy, expand your practice of asana and pranayama, and to meet like-minded people.

A strong foundation in yoga can enrich your life, help you to develop healthy relationships and contribute more to the world around us. Also, it’s great fun ;)
