Bring something warm and cozy to wear.
Sweater season is slowly creeping up on us. At the ASW we are continuously working to make the yoga school more beautiful and sustainable. For example, have you spotted our new eight-armed friend yet? What about the new lights in the yoga rooms? And after insulating the ceiling, Roland Sohier pasted his work ‘Hilde Moves’ back onto the wall.
We will be working on our heating system in the coming week. Therefore, the heating must be switched off all day on Tuesday (tomorrow) and during the day on Wednesday. If you come to class on those days, make sure you bring some extra warm clothing and a pair of thick socks! The boiler will be turned on again on Wednesday evening. And then we hope that our system, in combination with the insulated ceiling, will work optimally all winter long, so that we can be both comfortably warm and sustainable at the same time.
Movement is a must!
Do you see this handstand? This newspaper article from last Saturday highlighted how important it is that we all need to keep moving throughout our lives, no matter what. It is good for our physical health and mental well-being. Iyengar yoga is a fantastic way to keep moving both physically and mentally and to become aware of your physical and mental capabilities. So… what’s keeping you from booking your next lesson?
We are happy to give teachers in training the opportunity to gain teaching experience. And we hope to give everybody a chance to participate in yoga classes. We combine these two in our Community Classes. The classes are suitable for beginners and open to everyone: pay what you can afford or join with your iYoga Unlimited Subscription.
If you sign up for the class via Momoyoga, you will receive an email after the class with a payment link for which you can enter the amount yourself. Or you can put cash in the Donation Jar. Every contribution is welcome, that way you also contribute to our space which we love to make available for these lessons.
Thursdays from 18.00-19.15 there’s a community class with Despoina, and on Sundays from 18.00-19.30 you can also join Eeke’s regular class on a donation basis.
