Francesca Thompson is originally a musician, and started yoga somewhat reluctantly in 2010, because she did not expect it to change her life so completely. She is very grateful that she has found a path and teachers who guide her in this. Back pain is also no stranger to her, partly due to injuries, and partly due to physically demanding work and the love of physical challenges. One of the first things that drew her to Iyengar yoga was the relief it offered at the time for a back injury.
She’s never forgotten that sense of relief, and has since learnt how to deal with pain which pops up now and then, and how to get rid of it. Francesca is also currently following a three-year course on yoga therapy with Stephanie Quirk, and most recently completed a module on the lower back and pelvis.
