Do you want to try Iyengar Yoga – even for the first time? Have you practiced for a while but do you want to learn more about how to deal with the nervous system? Do you (and your Iyengar yoga teacher) want to learn more about how to address your issues in a yoga class? Or do you ‘just’ want to learn from an inspiring and experienced Iyengar yoga teacher?

Now is your chance: Garth McLean is coming back to the Netherlands!

ð  Friday: Yoga and the Nervous System. Session for yoga teachers and their students.
15.00-18.00
This session provides yoga teachers with tools to work with ambulatory persons with MS and similar disorders to mitigate related symptoms & ease suffering. And it helps the students in question to find ways of working that are adequate for their specific condition.
Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers and teachers in training are welcome to this session, and are invited to bring their student(s). Do you have a student or are you someone with a neurological condition or movement challenge? Please get in touch with us and we will send you a form so you can write down your main questions or issues.

ð  Saturday and Sunday morning: Yoga for Every Body.
11.00-13.00
Specifically but not exclusively for people with MS or other movement challenges. Discover how learning yoga can help you deal with your present condition. Beginning students are very welcome, but anyone with an open mind can benefit from these sessions.
If possible, we strongly encourage you to come to both morning sessions

Though individual cases vary, symptoms often manifest in similar ways. Based on ability, we will address principles and strategies to enhance body mobility and stability while cultivating strength and offering symptom relief through Iyengar Yoga.

ð  Saturday and Sunday afternoon: Yoga for Yoga Students.
15.00-18.00
If you have been doing yoga for some time, and are interested to learn more, join Garth in these afternoon sessions. Expect the unexpected!

Garth McLean was diagnosed with relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis in 1996. Upon diagnosis, he embraced an ongoing daily practice of Iyengar Yoga based on his doctor’s advice. Garth’s dedication to self-healing has enabled him to successfully manage many symptoms of MS and keep his course of the condition in remission. He shares his enthusiasm for the healing potential of a dedicated yoga practice with students and teachers at every level around the world.  His personal in-depth knowledge of Iyengar Yoga inspires not only those with MS and other neurological conditions, but everyone.

While the practice of Iyengar Yoga is not a cure for MS, the practice is accessible to all who are willing to learn. The beauty is the practice can be adapted, with use of props as required, to suit whatever condition the student may be facing at whatever level of ability. I have found profound relief and the freedom of overall good health
